ATHE is a global awarding organization regulated by Ofqual and other UK and international regulators since 2011. To complement our strong brand presence in the UK, we work with more than 280 recognized centres in over 55 countries.

ATHE offers a wide portfolio of vocationally oriented and internationally recognized qualifications from levels 3 to 7, such as business and management, accounting, law, computing, and healthcare, many of which are eligible for UK funding. ATHE has also developed a diverse range of regulated bespoke qualifications for clients through its qualification development service, while its endorsed program service has certificated over 40,000 learners for 30 clients globally.

ATHE qualifications are approved as progression pathways for its learners to relevant Bachelor’s and Master’s top-up degrees by 25 UK and international universities, with many more accepting the Ofqual-regulated qualifications for progression purposes.

ATHE Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business and Management is a 120-credit Ofqual Regulated Qualification equivalent to the second year of a bachelor’s degree. It is designed to give learners the knowledge and skills they need to start or progress a career in business or management. The curriculum incorporates case studies, projects, and real-world scenarios to ensure that learners can apply their knowledge to practical situations.

This unit will enable learners to understand how to manage individuals and teams. They will study organizational factors and how these impact and influence individual and team behaviour, as well as learn management tools and techniques to help them effectively manage individuals and teams.

This unit aims to develop knowledge and understanding of communication within and between organizations. Learners will also review their communication skills in an organizational context.

Unit Objectives

This unit aims to develop the skills required for the learner to formulate an appropriate research question and to design and undertake a research project to answer that research question. The learner will also need to interpret the outcomes of their research and present them to an audience.

Unit Objectives

The aim of this unit is to develop learners’ understanding of the nature of the operations function and the role of those managing it. Learners will gain an understanding of the operations function in terms of its impact on business success, the tools and techniques that enable managers to achieve business success and the ethical consideration faced in terms of the supply chain.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this unit, learners will be able to critically evaluate the operations function’s impact on overall business success, identify and apply relevant tools and techniques used by managers to enhance operational efficiency and assess the ethical considerations and challenges within the supply chain, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of effective operations management.

    1. The student must hold an educational qualification (two years of post-secondary academic study in business administration at a college or university).

    6. Student Date of Birth (yyyy-mm-dd) (e.g., 1993-07-22).
    7. Student ID / Passport (must be a valid, scanned copy).
    8. Passport Expiration Date (mandatory).
    9. Website for the qualification.

    2. CV / Resume (updated with current work details) in English.

    4. Academic L04 (First year) Certificate (must be fully stamped and attested, scanned copy required).
    5. Academic Transcript (must be fully stamped and attested, scanned copy required).
    6. Registered Program Policies (mandatory).
